There are few things that Alex cares about more than getting more female representation into the IT channel. Having worked in IT distribution for almost 30 years – Alex has seen improvements – but recognises there is so much more to do in all areas of the channel. Alex has overseen Westcoast’s continuing support for CRN’s diversity initiatives as well leading the company’s high profile focus on careers in schools. As a result, Westcoast – the UK’s largest IT distributor - is one of Britain’s Cornerstone employers advising government, Ofsted and the Careers and Enterprise Company. He has helped launch Tech Channel Ambassadors and sits on the Technology Leadership Group for the Prince’s Trust and supports Speakers for Schools. Alex is careers advisor for Maiden Erlagh School Trust in Reading and regularly speaks in local Berkshire schools on the topic of diversity, inclusion and the opportunities in the IT industry for all. Alex is a well-known face in the UK IT Channel and has been awarded an Individual Award for Channel Excellence by CRN in 2016. Always enthusiastic and never short of an opinion – Alex has judged the CRN Women and Diversity Awards a number of times in the past.

Anushka is responsible for everything related to maintaining Softcat’s company culture and ensuring employees are engaged in their jobs. Anushka has a huge passion for DEI and has helped progress the company in creating programmes and interventions to improve diversity at Softcat.

Anushka joined Softcat 24 years ago with a Maths and Computing degree. After starting a career in Sales, Anushka went on to set up the Learning and Development function to support Softcat’s growth. Anushka as Head Employee Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and is passionate about company culture whilst ensuring Softcat is an employer of choice by putting their employees first. She also works alongside many organisations in the industry to help evolve the sector to be more diverse. Elisha is Softcat’s Recruitment Manager, and has worked within the tech space for 10 years. Born and raised in Manchester by a single working mum, with an innate and undeniable passion for people from day one, it was no big surprise when Lish ended up pursuing a career in People and Talent. In recent years, Lish’s passion for enabling others, most specifically supporting women in business, has skyrocketed. As a result, she has been recognised with the award for CRN Outstanding Returner 2023, and also delivered a keynote at CRN Women in Tech Fest last year titled ‘The Power of Vulnerability in Leadership’. One of Lish’s biggest loves in life is getting people excited about the things that she’s excited about, and one of those major things is exploring the impact that strong and effective leadership and community can have on female empowerment in the workplace. With over 25 years of experience in the technology sector, Emma is an advocate for women in technology and works closely with local schools, colleges and universities to encourage more women to pursue careers in technology. Emma is also committed to improving employee wellbeing. She believes that a healthy and happy workforce is essential for productivity and success and has implemented various initiatives at Phoenix Software to support employee mental and physical health. Now back into consultancy, she’s working with a great team of freelancers and global partner agencies, offering a wider range of services to clients and drawing on the knowledge she’s built up over the past 30 years. Gina spends a lot of time mentoring and training and her hands on, tell it how it is approach to managing clients’ expectations has never changed. She also manages important alliance relationships in order to maximise investments to accelerate the potential opportunity across the full ecosystem. Previous to Microsoft, Helen spent 13 years of her career in the telecommunications industry. She led a number of extensive teams across multiple disciplines in sales & commercial roles. She played a vital role in defining strategy, managing mulitple business priorities and executing with agility to deliver impact across multiple channels. She held the role of UK&IRE Channel Director at Lenovo for over 3 years and more recently heads up Lenovo’s new Global Strategic Channel Partnerships team. Jane is the voice of Lenovo UK’s Women in Leadership program, which strives to support diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and delivers guidance, networking and training to Lenovo employees as well as supporting it’s channel partners.
