Now in their 9th year, CRN UK the Women & Diversity in Channel Awards returned to The Brewery, London on 8 October 2026, as we championed not only women but also wider diversity within the industry.

Even as the UK tech industry has made positive strides, the challenge of increasing diversity in tech remains. And while we certainly need more women in technical, managerial and all roles across the sector, this year we’re using a broader definition of diversity – one that focuses on gender, but also class, ethnicity, level of education, LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity representation.

As the definition of diversity has gradually shifted to an intersectional lens, and even as, in some cases, diversity initiatives have tumbled down the list of boardroom priorities, CRN remains steadfast in celebrating hard work and great ideas, regardless of background.

We also recognise that diverse individuals come with different needs. That’s why these awards are also aimed at showcasing those businesses that help their employees across the spectrum thrive – be that through great apprenticeship schemes, ongoing mentorship, competitive maternity and paternity schemes, employee resource groups or any other efforts to foster a culture where each and every worker feels they have a voice.
