Paul has just under thirty years of experience within the IT Industry. Having held a number of senior positions in leading IT organisations, including, Equanet Ltd, PC World Business, Computacenter and more recently as the Managing Director of Servium, which provides IT solutions to mid-market and enterprise organisations in the UK.
After 15 years in people centric roles, Louise is still fascinated by human nature. She’s deeply enthusiastic about the difference empowered and enabled employees make to a business.
She joined Softcat plc in 2011 to focus on talent acquisition for their emerging technical teams and her role has evolved with the company, becoming HR Business Partner to the Tech Services, IT and Business Ops functions.
Louise has a real focus on the Business Partner element of her role and strives to understand the commercial and functional objectives of the directors she works with. This understanding allows her to deliver relevant and impactful HR initiatives and ensure that people are at the heart of business decision making.
Kyle spent 12 years in the British Army honing his intelligence skills in the most demanding of operational environments. After serving across the globe as an intelligence analyst, he transitioned to the influence capability and led highly sensitive operations over multiple tours in Afghanistan, before becoming lead instructor for the influence capability at the Defence School of Intelligence. Today, Kyle brings his extensive experience of developing Elite Influence Practitioners to the Applied Influence Group and helps clients from various sectors apply the same influence framework created in Afghanistan to overcome their greatest influence challenges.
Shaun led a successful MBO to set up Agilitas back in 2014 from the previous business ACAL plc. As CEO of Agilitas, Shaun is responsible for the strategic vision of the business and commits a large proportion of his time working with clients to identify what is core to them and their customers and what is context to ensure the Agilitas strategy is aligned to the needs of the market. As one of the leading figures in the channel, Shaun has delivered success in a number of senior roles at global technology companies including IBM, Sun Microsystems and Oracle serving some of the world’s leading businesses including Cable & Wireless, NTL, JPMC, Defra, ABN Amro and Astra Zenecca.
Jon Sansom is the Managing Director of Midlands based, GreensafeIT Limited. Having over 27 years’ experience in the IT Industry, working across Europe with both distributors and resellers alike and now heading a successful IT Services business; Jon holds an extensive depth of knowledge on Deployment, Logistics, Supply Chain and Secure ITAD services across the whole spectrum of IT Infrastructure.
His experience shows through the transformational projects he has led and the continued year-on-year growth of Greensafe. His passion for systems and process improvement drives innovation, boosts service success and raises industry standards.
Neil Sinclair is National Cyber Lead for the Police Digital Security Centre, originally a joint venture between the Mayor of London, the Metropolitan Police Service and the City of London Police and now part of Police-Crime Prevention Initiatives. Its role is to help small businesses to grow and innovate through operating in a secure digital environment. The Centre offers tailored staff training and education programmes, security assessment and digital footprint assessments.
Neil comes from a Counter Terrorism background, having been a senior accredited financial investigator with the National Terrorist Financial Investigation Unit and the Financial Intelligence Lead for Government Agencies. He has recently been listed in the Progress 1000 as one of London’s most influential people of 2019.
Tom Wright is managing editor at CRN, a position he has held since January. Tom joined CRN as a reporter in May 2016, having previously covered the specialist finance market for various publications. Prior to this, Tom graduated in Journalism from the University of Winchester.
Al joined Softcat in 2005 as an Account Manager on their graduate scheme, after studying Business and IT at uni in Southampton, which also included a year placement at IBM. He spent nine successful years in sales and made the move from Sales Manager to a senior leadership position in 2014. Today he is Softcat’s Operations Manager and his key responsibilities include supply chain management, procurement, commercials, and customer services. Al also has responsibility for customer segmentation in sales operations, a function he has managed for several years to maintain and fuel company growth.
Al has experienced and contributed to Softcat’s amazing growth, and has worked with their fantastic leaders including Peter Kelly, Martin Hellawell, Graeme Watt and Colin Brown. People and culture have always been key to Softcat’s success and Al is an example of someone who has grown and developed within the business.
Al lives on the South Coast with his wife and two young children and enjoys sport, film, food and travel in his spare time.
Sara Yirrell left Incisive Media in December 2016 to become a freelance journalist and content consultant specialising in all things IT channel.
Before that she had worked at Incisive-owned CRN since August 2000, holding the title of Editorial Director since October 2014. She was the editorial driving force behind the brand since becoming Editor in 2007, and oversaw the expansion to incorporate channelnomics.eu and channelnomics.com, which created the first true global channel network. She now also writes for Incisive Medias new channel brand Channel Partner Insight.
Before joining CRN, Sara worked on local daily newspaper The Northampton Chronicle & Echo for three years covering areas such as crime, local politics, education, business and transport.
